Ipswich and East Suffolk run 2 men’s sides. 1st & 2nd XI teams playing on Saturdays in the Two Counties league.
With Karl Mildenhall taking the helm again as captain for 2019, the First XI are out to cement their position in division 3 after a disappointing relegation in 2018. Watch out for a range of up and coming young talent filtering into the side throughout the year.
After a couple of up and down seasons since rejoining the league the second XI will compete in division 9 and once again be lead by Mark Sproats. The second XI provides an opportunity for a range of new players and colts to experience men’s cricket.
Ipswich & East Suffolk Ladies XI play in the Two Counties Twenty20 competition with the matches played on Sunday mornings. In 2019 the team will be captained by Kate and new players are always welcome.
The ladies focus on fun and fitness and will be having training sessions on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings (please contact the club for more details)
Juniors & Development Teams
We take great pride in the success and size of our colts program. With coaching for kids as young as 5 Wednesday nights are a hive of activity at Chantry Park. In 2016 IESCC have colts teams in Under 11, 13 and 15 age groups and all sides saw great success in their matches and in 2017 we will be playing some matches in the under 9 age group.
The success of our junior sides however is not measured in scorecards and the club has a number of ECB accredited coaches with the sole goal of improving the future stars of our club.
Regardless of ability or experience, new junior players are always welcome to attend training sessions and improve their game. Junior sides play regular games throughout the summer, generally on weekday evenings.
